The award-winning CRCFL will host a Cancer Moonshot Summit on Wednesday June 29, 1-2:30 p.m., at the Greenstar Space in Ithaca.
The summit is being held in collaboration with the national Cancer Moonshot Summit, led by Vice President Joe Biden, that takes place at the same time in Washington, DC.
The goal of both summits – and at others held in the U.S. – is to advise national and local leaders on cancer prevention and care.
The summit in Ithaca – free and open to everyone – will focus on what local communities can do to improve the lives and well-being of individuals and families living with cancer.
Individuals representing the breadth of cancer experiences will speak, and members of the public will be encouraged to share their own perspectives.
The summit will also highlight the ongoing collaboration between the Cancer Resource Center and cancer researchers at Cornell University. It’s a unique model that is drawing national attention.
Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Bob Riter at firstname.lastname@example.org or (607)277-0960.
