Three Virtual Wellness Classes Starting Week of July 7th
Unless indicated otherwise, CRC’s wellness classes are open to anyone affected by cancer (including long-term survivors), and their partners/caregivers. Classes are free of charge.
Yoga with Nick Boyar returns! Nick’s yoga class will be offered on a drop-in basis for 6 weeks on Tuesdays from 10-11am, July 7 – August 11. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to recieve the zoom link to join.
Introduction to Mindfulness 6 Week Series:
Join Gina Newlin, an experienced, Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hr level (E-RYT 500) and Thai Yoga bodywork practitioner, for this weekly 6-session series on meditation and mindfulness. Participants will be introduced to a variety of mindfulness practices including body scan, breath awareness, loving kindness, walking and seated meditation. Through a combination of discussion and practice, participants will work with direct experience to explore how mindfulness can enter any aspect of their day and become more accessible from moment to moment. Participants are strongly encouraged to commit to all 6 classes in order to learn the practices. Classes begin Wednesday, July 8th from 7-8pm through August 12th. CRC & Lifelong Collaboration: Strength Training
Starting July 7th through August 25th, a weekly 8-session exercise and strength training class is being offered. Some criteria apply and participants need to commit to attending all sessions. See flyer below for more information on this exciting opportunity. Classes are taught by brain cancer survivor and certified personal trainer Bailey Colvin.
